New York | Manhattan and Brooklyn
Located on the east coast of the United States, New York offers a multifaceted city experience with its skyscrapers, cultural diversity, shopping opportunities and world-renowned landmarks. The city’s vibrant center Manhattan and Brooklyn, home to diverse neighborhood cultures, are two important stops for discovering New York.
In Manhattan’s Midtown district, Times Square’s giant screens, the shops on Fifth Avenue, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Bryant Park and Grand Central Terminal stand out. Central Park offers a different atmosphere right next to the city’s intense urban life. The streets and shop windows illuminated during the New Year period add a distinct charm to visiting this area.
Downtown Manhattan is an important area for those who want to explore New York’s historical and financial identity. Wall Street, the Charging Bull statue, the 9/11 Memorial and the area around the World Trade Center are located here. The Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty views seen during the ferry ride reveal the city’s relationship with the sea, while the World Trade Center observation deck offers the opportunity to view New York from above.
Brooklyn’s Dyker Heights neighborhood stands out for its house decorations during the Christmas and New Year period. Illuminated houses, Christmas figures and walks through the neighborhood streets offer a New York experience different from Manhattan’s lively atmosphere.
Philadelphia | American History and the Rocky Steps
Located in the state of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia is an important stop for visitors who want to get to know the founding history of the United States up close. With its historic buildings, squares, and city center that can be explored on foot, it offers a different urban atmosphere from New York’s skyscrapers.
The area around Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are among Philadelphia’s main landmarks associated with American independence history. Exploring this area offers the opportunity to understand America’s founding story in the city where these events took place, rather than simply reading about them.
One of Philadelphia’s most recognizable locations in popular culture is the Rocky Steps in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Made famous by the Rocky films, these steps stand out as one of the city’s favorite photo stops.
A Philadelphia trip that brings together the historic city center and the area around the Rocky Steps combines American history and film culture along the same route. In our program, free time is provided for shopping in the Delaware area following the visit to Philadelphia.
Washington DC | The Capital of America and Its Monumental Landmarks
Washington DC, the capital of the United States, stands out with its government buildings, monuments, and broad avenues that reflect the country’s political and historical identity. After the dense, high-rise urban landscape of New York, the capital offers a different exploration experience with more open city views and monumental architecture.
The White House, Capitol Hill, the Washington Monument, and the Lincoln Memorial are among Washington DC’s best-known landmarks. These sites provide an important framework for understanding the American system of government and the individuals who left their mark on the country’s history.
The Korean War Veterans Memorial and the area around Arlington National Cemetery near the capital bear traces of the wars in America’s history and its culture of remembrance. Visits conducted with guided explanations help visitors gain a deeper understanding of the significance of the buildings and monuments they see.
Stops in the vicinity of Washington DC also include the Pentagon area and historic Alexandria in the state of Virginia. Bringing together the capital and its surroundings, this route offers the opportunity to discover America’s political center, its history, and different urban textures all in a single day.
